Obituary of Kathleen-Adele Johnson


Kathleen Adele Johnson was born March 17, 1957, in Lafayette, Ind., and passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013.Ms. Johnson received her Bachelor of Arts in education from West Georgia College and completed her masters degree while employed in Germany. She was a highly respected teacher who was well loved by her faculty and students. Kathleen was passionate about teaching and began her career in Atlanta. She then worked for the Department of Defense in Mannheim, Germany and Fort Knox for more than 30 years.She was preceded in death by her father, Loren R. Johnson. Kathleen is survived by two loving children, Megan D. Nash and Nickolas A. Nash, both of San Antonio; her mother, Norma D. Johnson of Dunwoody, Ga.; her sister, Laurie J. Goodwin (Paul) of Tacoma, Wash.; two brothers, Jeffery L. Johnson (Linda) of Las Vegas and Todd D. Johnson (Monica) of Atlanta. She also is survived by Allen A. Nash of San Antonio and William Huggins of Atlanta; and many loving cousins and close friends. A celebration of life, including a remembrance service, is at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, at H.M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel in Atlanta. Visitation is from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Dinner follows from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Maggiano's in Atlanta.H.M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill, 4550 Peachtree Rd., NE, Atlanta is in charge of arrangements.
