ROWAT, Kathleen (Anderson) At the Montreal General Hospital on June 20, 1999, in her 94th year. Daughter of Rev. Dr. John D. Anderson and wife Katherine MacKay. Beloved wife of the late Rev. Ronald Rowat. She is survived by Kitty (Ottawa), Don (Sue-Ann) of Burlington, Bruce (Maura) of Toronto , as well as grandchildren Alison (Eric Hans) of California, Wendy (Ken Thiessen) of Burlington, Colin of Cambridge, England, Kira (Stuart Taylor) of Winnipeg, Andrew of Toronto, and great-grandchildren Alex, hunter and Isabel. Predeceased by brothers MacKay (Elva), Llewellyn (Jessie) and sister Margaret. Born in Beauharnois, Quebec she attended Trafalgar School in Montreal where she was Head Girl. She subsequently graduated from the Toronto Bible College. She played a lifelong active role in the sharing of her husband's ministry in the Presbyterian Church - beginning in Tisdale (Saskatchewan), Saskatoon, North Bay (Ontario), Malone (N.Y.), Montreal, Manotick (Ontario), Scottstown (Quebec) and Quebec City. She served in numerous executive roles in the Women's Missionary Society. Generous of spirit, gifted musically, her storied life was one of encouragement and grace. Her unwavering faith in God was an inspiration to all who knew her. Special thanks to the staff and residents of the Manoir Westmount for their loving care and support over these past several years.
