HICKS, Katherine Park 88, of Plant City, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on July 31, 2011. Mrs. Hicks was born Aug. 9, 1922 in Chattanooga TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Wilbur Hicks; daughter, Angela Hicks; stepson, Wilbur Hicks Jr., and her brother, Richard Park. Survivors include her sister, Connie Dooley of Tampa; daughter, Karen Schatt Donahue of Tampa; sons, Richard Hicks (Marilyn) of Plant City, David Hicks of Atlanta, GA; stepson, Stuart Hicks (Kathy) of Plant City; stepdaughters, Virginia Zinner of Plant City, Betty Philpot of Orlando, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will take place at Wells Memorial Funeral Home, 1903 W. Reynolds St. Plant City, at 11 am, Wednesday Aug. 3, 2011 with visitation one hour prior to service with Rev. Gary Brady officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lakeland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LifePath Hospice of Hillsborough County or a charity of your choice.
