-> Katherine Foley "Kay" Murphy, 86, of Tybee Island, Georgia, died Friday morning, June 10, 2005, at Oceanside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Syracuse, New York, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Foley and Olive Mable Teeter Foley. Mrs. Murphy was a member of Chapel-by-the-Sea Baptist Church and was a retired retail sales manager/buyer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Murphy, her sisters, Teresa Berry, Nora Reese, Margaret Foley and Connie Kaiser, and her brothers, Thomas Foley, Michael Foley, Alfred Foley and Edward Foley. Surviving are two sons, Michael Murphy of St Augustine, Florida, and James Murphy and his wife Kate, of Littleton, Colorado; grandchildren; great-grandchildren, and two brothers, John Harris and James Foley. Funeral service will be held at 12:45 o'clock Sunday afternoon in Chapel-by-the-Sea Baptist Church conducted by The Reverend Dr. David C. Laughner. Interment will be private.
