Katherine L. "Kay" Owen, 88, died on Sept. 5. A longtime resident of Allendale, she was secretary at Archer United Methodist Church in Allendale for over 40 years. She was born in Eagle Valley, N.Y. and raised in Suffern, N.Y. She was married to Edward H. Owen for 61 years. She is survived by her children, Christine "Bonnie" Berube of Lenox, Mass. and Kathleen Owen of Allendale; her grandchildren, Nicole Anagnos of Williamstown, Mass. and Megan Berube of Destin, Fla.; her great-grandchildren, Lex and Ava Anagnos; her siblings, Carol DuBoer of Conway, S.C. and William Linton of Chestertown, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Thomas Linton Jr. of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Dallas Hart of Shaftsbury, Vt. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 20 at Archer United Methodist Church, followed by interment at Sloatsburg Cemetery in Sloatsburg, N.Y. Arrangements are by the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home in Ramsey. Memorial donations may be made to the Allendale Ambulance Corps.
