Katherine L. Brewer, 85, Fort Walton Beach and formerly of Arcadia, died July 8, 2003. She was born Oct. 24, 1917, in Horse Shoe, N.C., and came to Fort Walton Beach in 1992 from Winter Haven. She was a registered nurse, retiring after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Fort Walton Beach. Survivors include daughters Virginia McCann of Fort Walton Beach and Sharron Albritton of Yeehaw Junction; a son, George F. Gray of Nicholls, Ga.; a sister, Wilma Beane of Tallahassee; a brother, Joe Holden of Monticello; five grandchildren; and 10 great- grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Owens Cemetery in Arcadia. Ponger-Kays- Grady Funeral Home in Arcadia is in charge.
