Katherine E. Lee, 79, Sarasota, died Jan. 15, 2004. She was born July 1, 1924, in Tampa and came to Sarasota from there 42 years ago. She retired in 1984 as a registered nurse at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. She graduated from Mount Park Nursing School in St. Petersburg and Duke University. She was a member of the Sarasota Garden Club Bigonia-Palm Circle. She was a member of Pine Shores Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband, Fred W.; daughters Cynthia L. Moreno of Louisville, Ky., and Jennifer of Sarasota; a sister, Barbara Black of Raleigh, N.C.; and a grandchild. No visitation is planned. Memorial services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Bay Village of Sarasota. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Gulf Gate Chapel, is in charge.
