Obituary of Katherine-Clendon Lamb


CHERRYFIELD - Katherine Clendon Lamb, 77, died unexpectedly April 22, 2010, of a heart attack at her home. She was born Dec. 7, 1932, in Campobello, New Brunswick, a daughter of the late Victor H. and I. Maude (Calder) Wilson. Katherine graduated from Shead Memorial High School, Eastport. Before her retirement she had a custom drapery and upholstery business in Ellsworth. She was a member of First Congregational Church UCC, Cherryfield, and Order of the Eastern Star Alcyne Chapter No.71, Milbridge. Katherine was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Morton Lamb; a brother, Grant Wilson; and a dear friend, John Brace. She is survived by a son, Robert B. Lamb of New Hampshire; a daughter, Margaret A. Lamb of Washington, D.C.; dear friends, Mark Richmond, Gena Norgaard; a special cousin, Elaine Leslie and her husband, Willard; her family of Deer Island, New Brunswick; several cousins and many friends. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service 2 p.m. Friday, May 7, at First Congregational Church UCC, Cherryfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Congregational Church UCC, P.O. Box 104, Cherryfield, ME 04622. Condolences may be sent to www.bragdonkelley.com.
