Obituary of Katherine-Besselieu Hall


Statesville, NC - Katherine Besselieu Hall, 89, died Thursday, February 27, 2003 at home. She was born July 28, 1913 in Saluda, NC and was the daughter of the late William M. Besselieu and Kate Hardee Besselieu of Savannah. Mrs. Hall married Virgil G. Hall in 1945. Mr. Hall died in 1972. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Statesville. She was active in the Alter Guild for many years. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Arthur G. Hall of Madison, WI; two sisters, Belle B. Eller of Statesville, NC and Josephine B. Lawton of Chimney Rock, NC. Two brothers, Frank Besselieu of Asheville, NC and Devereau Besselieu of Miami Shores, FL, and a nephew, K. C. Eller, Jr., also preceded her in death. Survivors: Frank B. Hall of Rocky Hill, CT; and several nephews and a niece, Frank H. Eller of Statesville, NC, John Hall, Roslyn Heights of NY, Sandra Besselieu of Vancouver, WA, and Devereau Besselieu of Tampa, FL. Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 4 in Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, with Father Gavin Dunbar officiating.
