NORTH AUGUSTA, S. C. - Mrs. Karen D. Parris Smith, of Pinegrove Avenue, entered into rest August 3, 2013 at Trinity Hospital. Arrangements are incomplete. Mrs. Smith, a native of Trinidad West Indies was a member of Gospel of Deliverance, Inc. She was a graduate of High Point High School, Adelphi, Maryland. She was employed by Tri Development. Survivors include her husband, Jessie Lee Smith; three daughters, Velvet D. (Averdorn) Davis, Violet Dobbs and Jessie Smith, North Augusta; a son, Tyson Tillman, Augusta; her mother, Ermine Parris, Trinidad West Indies; two brothers, Wendell Parris, Baltimore, MD and Lester Parris, Bowie, MD; grandchildren, Talisha Curry, Talia Davis, Talaiferro Averdorn Davis, Jr., Elijah Simpkins, Rahema Simpkins, Tanay Simpkins; a host of other relatives and friends.
