SMITH, Karen Eileen (nee Gillies)June 18, 1951 - June 5, 2012Karen passed away peacefully at the North Shore Hospice with her brother, Rob, at her side. Karen is predeceased by her mother, Eileen and her father, Don. Karen's boundless, positive energy profoundly touched all who knew her. Her incredible sense of humour was a gift her friends will always treasure. Karen's work career included many years spent with Scotiabank. Most recently as Manager Customer Service at Scotiabank, Lynn Valley, North Vancouver. She was devoted to her staff and brought fairness, support and integrity to her office. Friends so wishing, may make a memorial donation to the Canadian Cancer Society. Her brother Rob, and the "Ya-Ya Sisterhood" wish to thank the nurses and caregivers at the North Shore Hospice for giving Karen so much comfort in her final days.
