On the evening of July 2, 2003, Karen ended her long struggle with cancer. Born on November 7, 1949 in Lackawanna, NY, to Arthur and Eva Skoczylas. She is survived by her husband Richard, children Paula and David Stachowski, and sister Judy (Jim) Sawicki. Funeral Services on Sunday, July 6 at East Lawn Palms Mortuary in Tuscon, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Foundation, in Karen's name.
