Karen Marie Thibault Miles December 19, 2010 Karen Marie Thibault Miles of Onondaga Hill, born May 4th 1956 in Syracuse, died in her home Sunday morning in the company of her family after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. She is survived by her husband of thirty years, Michael; her sons, Christopher, Evan and Eric; her mother Helen (Thibault) Putnam; her sister, Sharon Kawa; her brothers, Marty and Gary Thibault; her nieces and nephews, Kristen, Kevin, Jacob, Seth, Samantha, Jonathan, Katie, and Brittany; and by her innumerable friends. Her father Romuald Thibault died in August of 1983. Her children could not have had a more devoted mother or her husband a more loving friend and companion. An avid reader, photographer, and an excellent baker, Karen's creativity, love for knowledge, and fondness for things that grow took countless forms. She especially enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening at her home, and being with her family at their camp at Trout Lake. She worked for 25 years as a legal assistant at Bond, Schoeneck & King, volunteered at a BS&K sponsored reading program at Elmwood Elementary School, as a substitute teacher's aide for the Onondaga school district, and the Delaney Farms greenhouses. Karen was a rare and truly caring, sweet and thoughtful person. She will be missed terribly by everyone who knew and loved her. Services will be 10 am Thursday at St. Michael/St. Peter Church, Onondaga Hill. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Butler-Badman Funeral Home, Inc., 4504 W. Seneca Tnpk.
