Karen Jean Davis, 58, Punta Gorda, died at her home Aug. 6, 2006. She was born June 11, 1948, in Brooklyn, N.Y., moved to Bellmore, Long Island, N.Y., in 1982 and then to Punta Gorda. She was in the optical business for 20 years before retiring. She was a member of the Women of the Moose 777, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1693 and American Legion Auxiliary Post 103, all of Punta Gorda. Survivors include her daughter, Kellie J. Hoffman of Punta Gorda; five grandchildren; and two nieces. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1693 in Punta Gorda. A private committal will be held by the family. Roberson Funeral Home, Punta Gorda Chapel, is handling arrangements.
