KAREN J. SMITH (SWICK) (NEE LANTZ) BURNHAM, IL Karen J. Smith (Swick), age 54, of Burnham, IL passed away at St. Margaret's Hospital in Hammond, IN on February 18, 2008. Karen was employed at Cathlic Charities of Chicago for 15 years. She is survived by her husband, Steven J. Smith; children: Jennifer (Angie Wilson) Swick and Jay (Tanya) Swick; grandchildren: Morgan and Lily Swick; brother: Harold (Diane) Lantz, Jr.; two sisters: Pam (Mike) Abshire and Debbie (Joe) Cannarozzi; five neices: Michelle, Nicole, Kim, Trudy and Rebecca; two nephews: Mike and Kenny; also numerous close family and friends. Preceded in death by mother, Susan Purdy; and father, Harold Lantz, Sr. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, Hammond, IN.
