DAVIS, Karen Haynes Passed away at her home on January 22, 2013. Karen was passionate about her family, her friends, her work, her garden, her critters and adventure travel. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Lindsley (Maynard) Davis; sons, Benjamin (Megan) and Alexander; grandson, Burton; parents, William C. "Buddy" and Virginia Ann Haynes of Shelbyville, TN; brother, William Knox Haynes of Lexington, KY; cousin, Marsha Clark (Michael) Mangrum. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Lynn Haynes. Karen was born in Shelbyville, attended Memphis State and Middle Tennessee State, earning a degree in special education, and then served as a teacher for many years before morphing into a successful general contractor for the past 25 years. Arrangements will be at Woodmont Christian Church in Nashville. Visitation Thursday from 11 a.m. til 1 p.m. with service at 1:30 p.m. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
