Karen L. Davis 1951-2012 BENNINGTON Karen L. Davis, 61, formerly of South Stream Road in Pownal, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Albany, New York Medical Center surrounded by her family. Karen was born in Bennington on February 28, 1951 the daughter of the late Alfred E. and Helen L. (Crosier-Devlin) Davis. Karen worked as a school bus driver for over 28 years. She started with Gareth Bus Lines, then Folmsbee Transportation, and then transferred to Shaftsbury, where she was their school bus driver for 17 years. Karen was an avid bowler, loved to crochet and was a member of the Quilting Club at the Second Congregational Church. She enjoyed listening to music, especially Barbara Streisand, Elvis Presley and the Bee-Gees. She enjoyed her home and spending time with her family and friends. Karen is survived by her children; Penny Davis of Bennington, Jeremy Davis also of Bennington, and Ryan Davis and his wife, Elizabeth, of North Bennington; her grandchildren, Zachary, Andrew, Mikaela, Hunter, Landon, Logan and Maya; her great-grandchild, Alivia; and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brothers Alfred Davis, Jr. who died in 1987 and Paul Davis who died in 2002. Funeral services for Karen will be held Thursday evening, April 26, 2012 at 7 p.m. at HANSON-WALBRIDGE FUNERAL HOME, 213 West Main Street, Bennington, Vt. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening, April 26, 2012 from 5 to 7p.m., two hours prior to the service.
