SMITH, KATHRYN LOUISE "MAMA K" Went to be with the Lord on September 6, 2012 at the age of 80. "Mama K" was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother; who will be missed by all who loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Thomas H. Smith, Sr.; brother, Malcolm Walker; sister, Barbara Pino; and her son-in-law, DeWayne House. "Mama K" is survived by her son, Thomas Smith, Jr. (Nancy); 3 daughters: Cindy House, Darlene White (Ronnie), and Renee Gibbs (Ricky); 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Jerry Walker (Bunny); and 2 sisters: Marie Spurk and Wanda Mitchell (Tommy). Visitation will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel on Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, with funeral services on Monday, September 10, 2012 beginning at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Allen Davis. Interment will be in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. >
