KATHLEEN FRANCES McKEOWN (nee HOOD) Passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Terraces on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Samuel McKeown. Loving mother of Diane Smith (Robert), Kim Elliot, Dean (Gillian) and Karen Traicus (Peter). Daughter of the late Jessie Mae Watterworth and Harold Hood. She is survived by many grandchildren: Shannon, Robin, Lindsay, Erin, Lucas, Greg, Jeff, and the late Andrew, Eric and Elizabeth; as well as numerous great-grandchildren: Sam, Grace, Russell, Ivy, Nevaeh, Sophia and Luca. She leaves behind her sister Helen Pachkowsky (Norm) and family, and is predeceased by her brother "Buzz" Buchanan (Linda). Kathleen will be fondly remembered by many friends. "Kay" was quite a character and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Special thanks to the staff at Hillsdale Terraces for many years of care. A private memorial service followed by cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, a remembrance by way of donation to The Kidney Foundation or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
