HUGHES, June Margaret(nee White) September 25, 1923 Greenshields, AB ~ August 28, 2014 St. Albert, ABOn August 28, 2014, June Hughes of Wetaskiwin passed away peacefully at the age of 90 years. June will be forever loved and remembered by her husband and soul mate of 67 years, Bill; daughters, Janice Doll and Jill Hughes; sons, David (Wendy) Hughes, Terry (Lise-Ann) Hughes and six wonderful grandchildren, Alexandra, Stephanie, Danika, Keely, Jonathan and Rebecca. June is also survived by sisters, Patricia Hendrickson and Doris Guthrie and brother, John White.June, who taught school for close to 40 years in Wetaskiwin, was a life long learner. She was an avid world traveller, volunteer, active community member and Volksmarcher. June loved exploring her province and was always on hunt for antique auctions so that she and Bill could add to their collection. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the First United Church - 5115 51 Avenue, Wetaskiwin AB, T9A 0V3.Cremation has taken place.
