BURGESS, June Lorraine At home, on Tuesday December 30th, with her family by her side. Predeceased on October 28, 2003 by Donald, her beloved husband of 56 years. Loving mother of Carol (Kingston, Ontario) and Donna (Chelsea, Quebec). Predeceased by her brother Layton Miller of Hamilton, Ontario and her sister Mary Reid of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She is survived by her brother Clarence Miller of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. June was a long time, dedicated employee of the Royal Bank for 45 years. She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews throughout the Maritimes and Ontario. Sadly missed by her faithful, feline companion Benji. Family and friends will be received at the Township Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 435 Davis Drive (Centennial at Talor-Kidd) on Friday January 2, between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 3, at 11 a.m., in our Chapel. Interment to follow at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make a memorial donation to the charity of their choice, the Kingston Humaine Society was June's favorite. The family would like to extend their special thanks to the doctors and staff of Palliative Care for their assistance and dedication.
