Julie Anna (Gougeon) Grimes-Faulconer, 57, of West St., Ludlow, MA, formerly of Schenectady, NY, died Monday November 23 in Bay State Medical Center. Born in Germany she had worked as a hairdresser, andlater as a legal secretary. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Faulconer; her cherished daughter, Candee Grimes-Costa and her husband Carlos; and her granddaughter, LuciAnna Costa, all of Ludlow. In addition to being a loving mother, wife and grandmother, Julie enjoyed sewing, gardening and will be remembered for many things including her homemade Christmas cakes that she delivered to her friends and family every year. Raising her only child Candee, primarily as a single mother, they formed an unbreakable bond that only a mother and daughter could share. Affectionately and playfully nicknamed "Luci" for her silly antics, which would eventually come to be known by all that knew her as "Luci Moments", she will forever be honored by her granddaughter LuciAnna, who was named after her. Though her relationship with LuciAnna was cut tragically short, Candee will ensure that her memory is forever remembered and that LuciAnna will know everything that made her "Nana Luci" special. Funeral services celebrating her life will be Saturday, November 28 at 11 a.m. at Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow. The Rev. Frank Grogett will preside.
