<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Julia Mae Carter, age 97, of Homewood, Alabama passed away peacefully on June 8, 2014. Julia was a life long volunteer, working in innumerable organizations throughout her life. She was an active member of the Eastern Star, the Women's Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, a life member of the Alabama PTA and a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Julia was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Frank (Pat) Esmond Carter. She is survived by her son Harry L. Carter (Sandra), sisters Myrtle Robison, Eunice Pierce and brothers Dewey Pickle and Huey Pickle. Services will be Thursday, June 12th at Trinity United Methodist Church at 2:00 pm, following visitation at 1:00 PM, 1400 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, Alabama.
