Julia Kazantis, 87, of Agawam, MA passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in Heritage Hall Care Center. Born January 8, 1923 in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter to the late Christopher and Anna (Proyous) Kazantis. She was a veteran of WWII serving our country with the US Navy. She received her Masters Degree from Boston University and was employed as a guidance counselor throughout the New Jersey area. Julia resided in Westfield, NJ with her husband, John Williams, for many years. Following her husbands passing in 1993, she moved to Bridgewater, MA. She most recently moved to Agawam in 2007. She is survived by her brother Nicholas Kazantis of Agawam, MA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John; and sisters Theodora, Carol and Nancy. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Julias name to Baystate VNA & Hospice, 280 Chestnut St., Springfield, MA 01104.
