EllabellJudy Poppell Davis, 66, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, after an extended illness. Mrs. Davis was a retired secretary from the Georgia State Department of Transportation and was a member of South Newington Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother and caregiver to her husband and children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Howard Davis.Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Damon and Charlotte Davis of Guyton and Matthew and Danielle Davis of Savannah; daughter and son-in-law, Tia and Larry Adkins of Bulloch County; sister and brother-in-law, Regina P. and Mike Sanders of Savannah; grandchildren, Makayla, Andrew, Katie, Madison and Natalie; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.The funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel in Pembroke with the Rev. Steve McCoy officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. in Hillcrest Abbey West. Visitation is from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.Arrangements are by Flanders Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke.
