Obituary of Judy McQuinn-Downing

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">RUMNEY -- Judy Mary McQuinn-Downing, 51, of Old Route 25, died Nov. 10, 2010, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital, Lebanon, after a courageous battle with cancer.She was born in Quincy, Mass., July 11, 1959, to Howard R. and Mary A. (Comeau) McQuinn. She grew up in Quincy and graduated from Quincy High School in 1977 and Suffolk University in 1981. She moved to the Plymouth area 30 years ago and has been a resident of Rumney for the past 26 years.She worked at Speare Memorial Hospital, Plymouth, in the accounting department. She was also a self-employed accountant.She was a member of the Rumney PTO and a strong supporter of athletics at Russell School and Plymouth Regional Area High School.She was predeceased by her husband, Edward James Downing, in 2005.Family members include her children, Benjamin E. Downing and Alyson M. Downing, both of Rumney; her parents of Quincy, Mass.; a brother, Robert McQuinn and sisters Susan McQuinn, Joyce McQuinn and Nancy Little, all of Quincy, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.SERVICES: Calling hours will be held in Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St., Plymouth, on Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m.A celebration of life, lunch and gathering will be held at Foster's Common Man Restaurant, Plymouth, on Sunday at 1 p.m.Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.Donations may be made to Ben and Alyson Downing Family Fund, c/o Northway Bank, 9 Main St., Berlin 03570.
