Judy Ann Ables Johnson, 63, wife of Jerry Johnson, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, at Hospice of the Upstate. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of Doris Russell Ables of Greenville and the late William D. Ables. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and was a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are two sons, Christopher Swords of Jacksonville, Fla., and Daniel Swords and his wife, Alla, of Atlanta, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Laurie Vogel, and her husband, Mike, of Simpsonville; and four grandchildren, Chris and Sunny Swords, both of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Lauren and Alexander Swords, both of Atlanta. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, at 1:30 p.m. in the Remembrance Chapel of Woodlawn Memorial Park.
