Johnson, JudyJune 25, 2009Judy Johnson, 71, died Thursday, June 25, 2009, of a cardiac arrest en route with her husband David from their former home in Arlington, Texas, to re-establish a residence in Sarasota. Born July 3, 1937, in Hyannis, Mass., Judy was the daughter of James and Virginia MacLeod. She graduated from Becker Junior College. On April 19, 1958, she was united in marriage to David Johnson. In 2008, the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.Judy was a loving and devoted mother and wife. She had a fantastic personality and was always ready for a laugh. She also had a compassionate, sensitive side that aided many friends and family in their times of need. Along with her continuous support for her loved ones, Judy kept a warm and inviting home. She was a great cook, enjoyed knitting and reading, and loved her pets.Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Gulf Gate Chapel, is handling the arrangements. A celebration of life ceremony will take place at a later date. Judy is survived by her husband, David Johnson; son Jeffrey (wife Mary) Johnson; daughters Tracey (husband James) Schlosser, Susan (husband Peter) Lunt and Heather (husband Darron) Reid of Minneapolis; eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
