Obituary of Judy-C. Smith


LINCOLN COUNTY - Judy C. Smith, age 51, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was born June 8, 1961 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky to the late Carroll and Pauline Jones Clements and was the wife of Brent C. Smith. Mrs. Smith was a member of Bagdad Baptist Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed cats, playing cards, listening to music, and riding motorcycles. She was a wonderful cook, a great friend, and met her husband, Brent, at a softball game when they were very young. They both continued to enjoy playing softball for many years. Judy and Brent were married for over 31 years and she is also survived by two sons, Phillip R. Smith of Louisville and Eric R. Smith of Lincoln County, a grandson Braylin C. Pennington, brothers, Gary Clements (Kathy) of Louisville, Dean Clements (Tammy) of Shelby County, a sister P.J. Whiddon (Mike) of Shelby County, and many nieces and nephews. In accordance with Judy's wishes, the family has chosen cremation with a Celebration of Life Service at 5PM Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Preston Pruitt Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11AM until the service time Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Harvesting Hope Food Bank and Soup Kitchen or Volunteer Services at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
