NORTH HAMPTON -- Judy A. Johnson, 76, of North Hampton died Oct. 3, 2008, at Langdon Place of Exeter, surrounded by her family. She was born Dec. 1, 1931, in Lynn, Mass., the daughter of the late Lewis and Myra (Page) Haven. She had resided in North Hampton for more than 60 years. She was a graduate of Hampton Academy, class of 1949, and attended the University of New Hampshire. She was very involved in the United Church of Christ in North Hampton, a member of the North Hampton Ambulance Corps and a volunteer for Seacoast Hospice of Exeter. Family members include her husband of 57 years, Homer A. Johnson of North Hampton; her children, Marla Hickey, Mark Johnson, Scott Johnson, and Laurie Klein, all of North Hampton, Steven Johnson of Pittsboro, N.C., Glen Johnson of Georgetown, Mass., and Gary Johnson of Hampton; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. IN HER LIFE: Family members also include sons-in-law, Bill Hickey and Eric Klein, both of North Hampton; daughters-in-law, Cathleen Johnson of North Hampton, Val Johnson of Pittsboro, N.C. Nancy Johnson of North Hampton, Debra Johnson of Georgetown, Mass., and Tina Johnson of Hampton. She also loved her dog, Edy. The Johnson family would like to thank all the wonderful nurses, aides and doctors for the compassionate care they gave to Judy at SunBridge of Portsmouth, Langdon Place of Exeter and Seacoast Hospice. Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her passion was spending time with her family especially attending her children's and grandchildren's activities. Her love of the outdoors found her gardening, walking, and swimming with her special friends and the many activities that each season brought, especially snowstorms. Judy had a soft place in her heart for all living creatures, especially her devoted pets throughout the years. SERVICES: Visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the United Church of Christ, North Hampton. Burial will be in the Center Cemetery, North Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
