MACLEOD, Judith Mary Our heroine, Judith Mary MacLeod (Beck) passed on in peace with her family by her side at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital on Saturday, April 23, 2005, in her 59th year, after courageously battling MS for 18 years. "A ray of sunsh ine, Judy was known for her beautiful smile, positive attitude, wonderful sense of humour and love of life. Judy's legacy will be her refusal to surrender and her tremendous courage. Her spirit lives on with all those who knew and loved her." Beloved wife and best friend for 35 years to Nelson MacLeod. Daughter of the late Henry and Pauline Beck. Judy's adoring and proud children are Don MacLeod and his wife Kim; Dianna Dafoe and her husband Ross. Proud grandmother of Tadum Nelson Nolan Dafoe an d Kailey Mary-Anne MacLeod, and two additional grandchildren to arrive soon. Sister to Paul Beck (Louise) of Val des Monts, Quebec and predeceased by brother Gordon Beck. Always remembered by "Minch" Annette Warren, and a very special friend and "num ber one bud" who has always been there, Fran Wright. A special thank you to all of the caregivers who came to our home over the years and made Judy comfortable through to the last hours of her fight. The family deeply appreciates the thoughts and pra yers received from so many people. Friends will be received at the Township Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 435 Davis Drive on Tuesday, April 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Paul the Apostle Church, 1111 Taylo r-Kidd Blvd. on Wednesday, April 27 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation will follow the mass at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, kindly leave or send memorial donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 1080 Gardiner's Road, Unit 3, Kin gston, K7P 1R7, so that we can help Judy finish her fight against this dreadful disease.
