WILSON Juanita Wooden Wilson, age 85, a 62 year resident of Bridgeport, died at home Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Juanita was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on April 21, 1924, to the late Moses Wooden and Mary Whitlock. She was married to the late Donald L Wilson Sr. of Coatesville, Pa. and was the mother of seven children, Donald Wilson Jr. and wife, Regina Spears Wilson of Chesterfield, Va., the late Glenn Wilson and wife, Jacquelin Lindsay Wilson of Summerfield, Fla., Wanda Wilson Rodney and husband, Varick Rodney of Baton Rogue, La., and Reginald Wilson, Cheryl Wilson Bernard, Gregory Wilson and Sharon Wilson Swan of Bridgeport. Her siblings include a sister, Viola Baugh and late husband, Marshall Baugh, late brothers, Mack Wooden, Reese Wooden, Moses Wooden, and Buddy Wooden; sisters-in-law, Edna Wooden, Sissie Wooden and Mamie Turner of Philadelphia, Pa.; daughter-in-law, Sharon Wilson of New York, N.Y.; sons-in-law, Samuel Bernard Jr. of Bridgeport, and Michael Swan of Indianapolis, Ind.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Juanita was a real estate agent for 20 years with Almeida Russell Realtor and Trojanowski Real Estate. She was also a member of the Messiah Baptist Church for more than 60 years. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at Messiah Baptist Church, 210 Congress St., Bridgeport, with Pastor Tyrone P. Jones IV officiating. Interment will take place in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport following the service. Friends are invited to the viewing Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m.. at the church.
