McKENZIE James Pete McKenzie, Jr., 44, of Neptune Beach, passed away in his sleep Friday, March 29, 2002 after a long illness. Born May 28, 1957 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, he has been a resident of Florida since 1955. Before his illness he had been a sub-contractor for the past 15 years. When he wasnt working, he was either deep sea fishing or riding his Harley. Family members include his faithful companion of 13 years, Connie Anderson; his five children, Brooke O. Landing, of Maryland and her husband Jason, James W. McKenzie of Jacksonville Beach, Marshall C. Trusler, of Jacksonville, Lyndsey M. Trusler of the home and Abby R. McKenzie of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a granddaughter, Zoe McKenzie of Broken Arrow, Okla.; his mother, Irene McKenzie of Tulsa, Okla.; brother, Ron McKenzie, of Broken Arrow, Okla., Eileen (Hank) McKenzie of Tulsa, Okla., Frank McKenzie, of Tulsa, Okla. and Mike McKenzie of Tulsa, Okla. Pete had one niece, Lisa McKenzie of Tulsa, Okla. and 2 nephews, Phillip and Michael McKenzie. His father, James H. McKenzie, Sr. predeceased him on July 21, 1987.
