McCORKEL John A. McCorkel, Jr., age 62, passed away April 11, 2004. He was a member of the Promise Land Pentecostal Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Mary McCorkel. Survivors include 2 daughters, Brenda Harris (husband, Phillip) & Tena Lightsey (husband, Josh); 6 grandchildren, Eric, Shane, Sheena, Stacey, Peyton, & Blake; 3 great-grandchildren, Kayla Renee, Kayla Marie, Laelah; 4 brothers, Wayne, Steve, Jimmy, & William; 3 sisters, Esther, Eva, Aline and numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, April 15, 2004 in the chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 729 S. Edgewood Ave. with Rev. Willie Crews officiating.
