Joyce's greatest joy in life was raising her five children, which she leaves a legacy of a close loving family. Joyce's second career was dedicated to 27 wonderful years of nursing at the Grace Hospital. Joyce's favorite pastime was square dancing with the Meri Squares. She leaves behind many beautiful friendships and special memories, and very dear friend in Anne Graham and Bob. The volunteer community played a large part of her retirement. Joyce was an usher for Centre Point Theatre for many years, and also enjoyed assisting with the Day Away Program, providing respite time for caregivers. Our family wish to express our great appreciation to Orchard View on the Rideau in Manotick, where Joyce received palliative care after leaving her home this past December. Thank you for your kindness and support during her brief stay. Special thanks also to Dr. Hans Dy for his tentative care, a new age doctor - house calls, emails, and above all the kind concern for our dear mother, and family. We are a family truly blessed with the memories of our Mother's Love, Life and Legacy. We intend to carry on the family tradition for many more generations. Thanks Mom, Love You! Memorial service will be held at Parkwood Presbyterian Church, 10 Chesterton Dr., Ottawa on Saturday, January 17 at 2 p.m. Condolences, donations or tributes may be made at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com.
