WILSON, Joyce Margaret (née Andrews)Peacefully, on Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Peter D. Clarke Long Term Care Centre, Ottawa, at the wonderful age of 98. Joy is survived by her son Ross, his wife Margaret; grandson, Judd, granddaughter Meredith and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Ross, the love of her life; her parents, CPO, RN, Alfred and Ethel Andrews and sisters, Kathleen and Christine. A Second World War veteran, Joy, after tragic personal loss kept her sense of adventure. She raised a son on her own, made a successful career in both England and Germany and later immigrated to Canada to start life again. Ross and family would like to give heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of the Peter D. Clarke Long Term Care Centre, Maple House, for the wonderful care they gave Joyce on her long stay with them. A memorial reception will be held for Joy on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Home, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean, between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Memorial Donations in Joy''s name to the Family and Friends Council, 9 Meridian Place, Ottawa, ON, K2G 6P8 would be appreciated.
