Joyce Marie Davis King, 70, of 108 Sorrell Drive, died Monday, November 6, 2006, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Princeton, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Henry Clayton Nelson Davis and Nancy Marie Eason Davis. Mrs. King was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are her husband, William Franklin King of the home; a daughter, Shirley Bevins of Toccoa, Ga.; three sons, Jerry Lee King of Grantham, N.C., Bobby Joe King of Greenville and Nelson Eddie King of Greer; two brothers, Harold Ray Davis and David Earl Davis, both of Goldsboro, N.C.; ten grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Louise Davis Quinn; a son, David Franklin King; a sister, Martha Ann Prichett; and a brother, George Davis. A memorial service will be held at a later date and time. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, is assisting the family. The family is at the residence.
