Joyce K. Anderson passed away in her sleep in Orange Park Medical Center after a long fight with a mental illness. Grave-side Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 3, at Volusia Memorial Park in Ormond Beach where she will be laid to rest beside her mother,Kathleen Anderson and father, Dr. William Anderson. Joyce was born on January 4, 1948 in Daytona Beach and was a graduate of DeLand High School and Stetson University. She became a teacher in DeLand and taught elementary school for several years. Joyce leaves her brothers, Andy Anderson of Satellite Beach, FL and Jim Anderson of Ocilla, GA; nephews and nieces, Steve, John David and Ashley Anderson, Rob Young and Suna Clichard, all of whom Joyce loved very much.
