Joyce E. Anderson 1924 -2012 SOUTHWICK - Joyce Elaine (Mitchell) Anderson, 87 of Southwick passed away on April 6, 2012 at Noble Hospital with her loving family at her side. Joyce was born on October 18, 1924 in Springfield Mass to Mae and Harry Mitchell of Agawam. Joyce grew up in Springfield and in Agawam, but was a longtime resident of Southwick. Joyce married in 1945 to Elwood Harold Anderson of Southwick. She just celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary. She leaves her three children, daughter Nancy DeLance and husband Donald of Westfield, son Southwick Fire Chief Richard Anderson and wife Debbi of Southwick, and son Granby Fire Chief Russell Anderson and wife Lisa of Granby Mass. Joyce leaves 6 grandchildren, Audrey Levere, Wendy DeLance, Amy Anderson, Kristen Anderson, Sara Collins and Kristofor Anderson. Joyce leaves 3 great grandchildren, Kyle Levere, Lexi Levere and Raelynn Harper Collins. Joyce was predeceased by her brother Carl Mitchell, sisters Norma Borbeau and Shirley Delfanso. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Southwick Firemen's Association, 15 Depot Street, Southwick, MA. 01077 or the Granby Firemen's Association, PO Box 841, Granby, MA. 01033. Funeral services for Joyce will be held at the New Southwick Cemetery at 1pm on Tuesday, April 10th, 2012. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Southwick-Forastiere Funeral Home.
