MACFARLANE, Joyce Peacefully, in her sleep on Tuesday, February 8, 2005. Joyce (nee Bailey) in her 77th year after a 15 year courageous battle with lung disease. Beloved wife of Ron MacFarlane for 57 years. Dear mother of Frances Harding and her husb and John, Ross MacFarlane and his wife Kathy, Gillian McCarney and her husband Neil. Sadly missed by grandchildren Tricia, Malcolm, Jennifer, Calum and Ross and by great grandchild Ashley. At Joyce's request, there will be a private burial service wi th no visitation. Joyce was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother - her family always the most important part of her life. She was an inspiration to us all when she pioneered oxygen therapy for lung disease and fought to stay with us with great stre ngth and spirit. The MacFarlanes wish to thank the people of the Homecare Services who were so supportive and affectionate and the kind and attentive staff at Trillium Ridge Retirement Centre.
