DOUGHERTY, Joyce Alice 1925 - 2009 Joyce Dougherty of High River passed away at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary on January 19, 2009 at the age of 83 years. She is survived by her husband of sixty- one years, W.C. "Mike" Dougherty and her children Patrick (Nadine), Kerry (Helen) and Noreen Charlton along with grandchildren Crystal (James) Keen and Bill (Christie) Charlton, Shawn Pahl and Jeff (Joey) Pahl and great- grandchildren Kylie, Taylor and Ashlee Pahl. She is also survived by her sister Patricia (Chuck) Brearley and her brother-in-law Jack (Lucille) Dougherty and several nieces and nephews. Joyce was predeceased by her parents Marvin and Alice Miller and son-in-law Bob Charlton. A Memorial Service will be held at the High River United Church, 123 Macleod Trail S.W., High River on Friday, January 23 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Susan Lukey officiating. Interment of Joyce's urn to follow at Highwood Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to High River Cancer Unit, c/o High River Hospital, 560 - 9 Avenue West, High River, AB T1B 1B3.
