Joy Rae Lewis, age 47, of Crestview, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009. She was born on May 17, 1962, in Kittery, Maine, and lived in Crestview for the past two years, moving here from South Carolina. She was a restaurant manager for several years in Sumpter, S.C. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Patrice Lewis. Survivors include her mother and father, Pamela and Charles Copponi of Spring Hill, Fla.; a twin brother, Jordan Ray Lewis Jr. of Crestview; a sister, Lisa Reynolds of Lynn, Mass.; three nieces, Symone Lewis, Shynell Lewis and LaToya Richardson; and two nephews, Damian and Darryl Reynolds. A celebration of Joy's life will be held on Sunday, Dec. 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the chapel of Brackney Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice. Brackney Funeral Service, Crestview, is in charge of arrangements.
