Joshua Mark Morris, 28, Republic, died Sunday, August 3, 2008. He was born January 29, 1980, in Aurora, Missouri, the son of Rev. Mark Duane and Janice Lee (Bowen) Morris. Joshua was a business consultant for AT&T, a real estate agent for Southwest Realtors, a former Republic city councilman and was currently serving on the planning and zoning board. He was a current member of the United Pentecostal Church of Republic, and had played the bass guitar in the church orchestra. Joshua was an avid Cardinal and Chiefs fan. He was a loving dad, son and brother, and known for his loyalty to everyone he loved. His paternal grandfather, Ernest Morris from Pana, Ill.; and maternal grandparents, Tommy and Bertha Bowen, from Cassville, Mo., preceded Joshua in death. He is survived by his children, Nicholas Mark and Danielle Faith Morris; his parents, Rev. Mark and Janice Morris; a sister, Rachel Lee Davis, all of Republic; paternal grandmother, Madeline Morris, Pana, Ill.; three aunts, Ann Dalton, Chadwick, Joyce Carman, St. Peter, and Robin Stockton, Cassville; five uncles, Rev. William Morris, Elgin, Ill., Rev. Loy Bowen, Rodney Bowen, Rick Bowen and Stephen Bowen, all of Cassville; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2008, in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, with Rev. Rex Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic.
