Obituary of Josephine Wood


WOOD, JOSEPHINE W.Josephine W. "Josie" Wood, of Evinston, FL passed away August 21, 2009 at her home. She was 74. Mrs. Wood was born in Swainsboro, Georgia to Joe B. Warnock, Sr. and Pauline Flanders Warnock. She moved to this area in 1955 from Savannah. She was retired from the Marion County Sheriff's Department and was a member of the Eastern Star and the McIntosh Baptist Church. She was a dedicated wife, mother, aunt and grandmother and she was also an avid supporter of QVC. Mrs. Wood is survived by her husband of 55 years, Billy Wood, Sr; two sons, Bill Wood, Jr. (BJ), and Alan L. Wood (Kerri) all of Ocala; two daughters, Robbin J. Wood of Evinston and Linda P. Marsh (Joe) of Ocala; six grandchildren; brother, Joe B. Warnock (Frances) of Savannah and sister, Freddie Mincy also of Savannah. Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, at 11:00 A.M. at McIntosh Cemetery, McIntosh, FL with her nephew, Reverend Greg Warnock officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Nature Coast, 150 N. Main St. High Springs, FL 32643 or to Hospice House, 1010 Regina Blvd, Beverly Hills, FL 34465.
