July 23, 2005 Joseph Williams, 62, of 261 Midler Ave, departed this life on Saturday, at Vivian Teal Howard Nursing Home after a long illness. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Maxine Williams; five daughters, Angela Washington (Bernard), LynnWilliams (Dwayne), Marie Mattison (Daryl), Natasha Williams (Kenneth) and Doris Cox all of Syracuse; two sons, Darnell Williams, Sr. and David Hunter, Jr. both of Syracuse; six stepchildren, Alex Carter (Deb), Reba Carter, Wanda Kitching, Tasha Jackson (Jay) and Tiffany Johnson-Graine, all of Syracuse and Raymond Kitching of West Palm Beach, FL; three brothers, George Canery, Jr., Leon Conners (Litisha) and Elijah Ford all of Syracuse; one sister, Carolyn Canery of Mullens, SC; 51 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Saturday 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Hopps Memorial C.M.E. Church, 1110 S. State St., with funeral services following at 12 noon. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Garland Bros.
