LAVALLEE Joseph Richard “JR” Lavallee went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 11, 2009, peacefully in his sleep. Comfort is found in knowing that he has been reunited with his wife, Rose Lavallee, whom preceded him in death just a few short months ago. JR was the oldest of four children, born and raised in Worcester, MA to Adelard and Oliva Lavallee on November 14, 1929. JR is survived by his five children: Pamela Sprabary (Randy), Richard Lavallee (Terri), Tasha Haight (Michael), Melissa Ripley (Kurt), and Michael Lavallee, also fourteen grandchildren: Kristina, Joey, Jonathan, Deleema, Timothy, Emily, Jaisen, Kyley, Katie, Andrew, Kimmy, Madison, Ava, Adam; his two great grandchildren Persie and Christian. He is also survived by his siblings, Joyce Collette, Gene Lavallee, and Roger Lavallee. JR was dedicated to his career in Culinary Arts, with a special love of the Pastry field. All who knew him delighted in his gift of baking/cooking. In addition, his other hobbies include Ham Radio operator, model trains, radio controlled airplanes, building ship models, gardening, woodworking, and crossword puzzles. JR was also very active in his church, where he served as Treasurer, Librarian, in the Choir, and was part of the kitchen ministry. Our dad will certainly be missed, but as we celebrate his life this Valentine's Day, we find peace in knowing that he has found his Valentine at the gates of heaven, waiting to show him around.
