MERRIMACK -- Joseph P. Reynolds, 73, died Feb. 23, 2001, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.He was born in Milton, Mass., Oct. 19, 1937, to Joseph P. and Rose (Ryan) Reynolds, and graduated in 1956 from Milton High School. He served in the United Sates Armed Forces, Intelligence Service Branch, from 1957 to 1960.He and his family moved to Merrimack in 1966, where he was an active member of Our Lady of Mercy of Merrimack for 40 years and served as chairman of the Nashua Citizen Crime Prevention Committee.He attended Northeastern University, graduating with a degree in Industrial Security 1972.Professionally, he served Sanders Associates/Lockheed Martin for 33 years retiring in 1999 as Director of Security, CPP, Certified Protection Professional, and recipient of the Directors Special Award for distinctive service.IN HIS LIFE: He was also chairman of Contractor SAP Security Working Group and founded and established the New Hampshire Chapter of American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS). Service, awards, and certificates of appreciation of note: 1991 National Industrial Security Task Force, awarded by the United States Government Departments of Energy, Defense and Central Intelligence Agency, 1994 for the establishment of the ASIS National Industrial Security Program, 1999 ASIS Lifetime Certified Protection Professional, 1999 Department of Defense Special Access Programs by the Office of the Secretary of Defense and 2000 ASIS Lifetime Member.He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Ingrid (Schmidt) Reynolds; a daughter, Ingrid Bond of Santa Fe, N.M., her sons, Nathan Bonds of Alexandria, Va., and Jordan Bonds, USAF, of Townsend, Del.; a daughter, Christine Watts, her husband, David Watts, and children Joseph Watts, William Watts, Eloise Watts, all of Olympia, Wash.; sisters Mary Reynolds Belanger her husband, Michael Belanger, of Briantree, Mass., and Rose Reynolds Lannon an d her husband, James Lannon of Portland, Maine.He will be remembered for his love of family, country, and the Lord; as well as his dedication to work, community, home and friends.SERVICES: Calling hours are Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Hwy., Merrimack. A Mass of Christian burial will be Monday at 9:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack.
