Joseph Norman Peters, 78, Sarasota and formerly of Oneco, died June 25, 2002. He was born Oct. 30, 1923, in Oneco and was a lifelong resident. He retired from Arrow Plumbing in Sarasota, and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Sandra; sons Wendell and Jon, both of Sarasota; a sister, Betty Colgate of Louisville, Ky.; brothers Charles of Sarasota, Edward of Virginia and Carl of Dade City; and four grandchildren. Private family services will be later. National Cremation Society, Sarasota chapter, is in charge.
