Native of Brooklyn, NY and longtime resident of Woodsburgh, NY, Ft. Lauderdale and Palm Coast, FL and Phoenix, AZ. World War II Coast Guard Petty Officer, First Class. Successful businessman as CEO of Michaels & Co. furniture stores in Brooklyn and Long Island, and later founder and CEO of Billy Blake Dept Stores, Long Island until retirement. Coast Guard Auxiliary member and instructor. Avid and proficient ham radio operator, boatman and yacht club president, fisherman and golfer. Private service was performed January 15.
