STOUGHTON Joseph M. Gilman, of Stoughton, age 43, on April 5, after a period of failing health. Husband of Octavia (Garcia) Gilman. Born in Stoughton he was educated at Weymouth High School and Blue Hills Regional Technical School. Mr. Gilman was an electronics technician at the Copley Controls Corporation in Canton since 1995. Mr. Gilman enjoyed painting, model cars, fishing, video games and being an avid fan of the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins. Mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his two boys, Nicholas and Shawn. In addition to his wife, Mr. Gilman is survived by his children Nicholas and Shawn Gilman of Stoughton and by his parents John Gilman and Marie (Venuti) of Weymouth and his grandmother Eleanor Venuti of Rockland. Survived also by his siblings John Gilman and his wife Susan of Rockland, William Gilman and his wife Julie of Plymouth and Lisa Jack and her husband Mike of Hingham. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Thursday at 8:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Blessing at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9:00 a.m. Visiting hours Wednesday, 4-8 p.m. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton, MA.
